My work
My work is the page you land on when you sign in: every open task that is yours, across every checklist in flight, in one place. For most people it is the whole app — work arrives here, gets done here, and the builder pages never need opening.
Start a new checklist
At the top of the page is a bar that generates one without going anywhere: pick the workflow, name the checklist, press the mark. The new checklist opens. This bar is where checklists are generated by hand — the other way one appears is on a schedule.
The workflows are ordered by how often your organization generates each one, so the one already selected is usually the one you came for. Leave the name empty and the checklist is named after its workflow and today's date. A workflow with no tasks is left out, because there is nothing to generate.
What counts as yours
A task appears in the main list when all three are true:
- it is ready — every prerequisite has closed
- its checklist is still active
- it is assigned to you — by name, through a group you are in, or by an organization role on an older workflow
Group membership is read at the moment you look, not when the checklist started. Join a group and its open tasks appear on your page immediately, including on checklists already in flight.
Reading the page
Tasks are grouped under the checklist they belong to. Each group's header shows the checklist's name, the workflow it came from, and how far along it is, with an Open checklist link for the full picture. The oldest checklist comes first — the work that has been waiting longest is at the top.
Select a task to expand it in place. The expanded view shows:
- what already happened upstream — each prerequisite, who closed it, and when
- the task's instructions and fields
- the same Complete task and Skip buttons the checklist page has
- Add a comment, for anything worth saying about the task — see Comments
Complete a task and it leaves the list. If closing it unblocked something else of yours, the new task appears in its place.
Open to anyone
A task with no assignees is open to anyone — see an empty box means anyone. Those tasks sit in their own collapsed Open to anyone section rather than in your main list, so work you could do never buries work that is yours.
Expand one and it says how long it has been waiting. Assign me takes it: the task moves up into your main list, and leaves this section for everybody else. Unassign me gives it back. See taking an unassigned task.
Coming up
Coming up lists tasks assigned to you that are still blocked, along with what each is waiting on. Nothing in it needs doing yet — it is there so the task that will land on you next is never a surprise.
When the page is empty
"You're all caught up" means exactly that: nothing assigned, nothing open to take, nothing coming. New work appears the moment a checklist makes a task of yours ready — the page refreshes itself quietly while you have it open.
